Water doesn’t get a moment of attention. It’s the thing you gulp between sips of something more interesting, the obligatory health task you rush through so you can get back to your coffee, your wine, your phone.
Try drinking one full glass of water today like it’s the only thing on the agenda. Notice the temperature. Notice that water actually has a taste, faint as it is, and that it changes slightly depending on the glass, the source, your own thirst. Put the glass down between sips instead of holding it like a security blanket.
It’s the most ignored substance you consume daily and the one your body would survive longest without anything else. It has earned thirty seconds of your actual attention.
